Creativity has always been at the heart of who I am.

In high school on Vancouver Island, I spent countless hours painting and experimenting with color, drawn to the endless possibilities art could offer.

Later, my university studies in Communications and Urban Planning at University of Calgary deepened my fascination with cityscapes and the stories woven into their architecture.

After moving to Edmonton, and years away from a paintbrush, I did an eight-week watercolor class that rekindled my passion for the medium in April 2024.

I fell in love all over again with its fluidity, charm, and ability to evoke emotion.

For my wedding in August 2024, I poured that love into painting 120 unique thank-you cards, one for each guest—a deeply personal touch that reminded me how much joy art can bring to others.

From there, I thought about what I love about living in Edmonton and started painting small scenes of neighborhood icons that hold so much meaning in the community.

That journey back to my creative roots and university studies gave life to Huescapes in December 2024.

A space where I capture the beauty of different hues of watercolour, and connection between the places and moments that shape us.
